Kabhi B, a neighborhood bakery | Ahmedabad

Kabhi B, a neighborhood bakery | Ahmedabad

What you see – The open space outside Kabhi B in Samaan complex near Mansi crossroads is a place of rendezvous for students returning home from tuitions. In fact, in the evenings, you will in all likelihood see teenagers with bags sitting outside the bakery, laughing and having a good time. Inside, it’s a small bakery with racks filled with desserts and baked items. Not a very spacious store, but still has whatever an ideal bakery should have.

What you get – Kabhi B in Ahmedabad is very well-known for its cakes and pastries. The confectionary is 100% vegetarian where they offer only eggless cakes.

Right at the billing counter, cakes and pastries such as chocolate truffle, pineapple cake and chocolate chips are displayed in the glass showcase. Bakery items such as muffins, cream rolls in chocolate and vanilla flavors, roasted salted nuts like almonds, pistachios and cashews all fill up the remaining showcase.

In the racks you will also find salsa sauce, Szechwan sauce, mayonnaise, garlic and ginger paste and baked beans.

Then there are varieties of bread and rusk such as wheat bread, brown bread, jeera rusk, kharis and so on. Different varieties of biscuits and cookies also find a place in these racks. Ready to eat snacks such as Chinese rolls, Veg burger, Chinese noodles, puffs and so on are there too. Besides, they have packs of noodles, biscuits and other grocery products. Their chocolates packed in attractive wrappers are yummy.

Pizza base, nachos, garlic bread, bread stick and more are also offered at the bakery. Kabhi B delivers customized cakes according to your order. You can even buy magic candles from here.

Our verdict – Kabhi B has been around in Ahmedabad since a long time and has many other outlets in the city as well. It seems to have a fan following of its own to such an extent that its loyal customers refuse to buy cakes from anywhere else. It’s a great neighborhood bakery unlike other new, sleek ones. Perhaps, it could get a little cleaner though. Customer service is very down-to-earth and cordial. Parking space is available.

Anytime between – 10 AM – 10 PM
